Add a New Show

Network accounts can add existing Listener.com podcast profiles to their managed network. There is no separate "create show" page — adding happens through the Add Existing Show modal on the My Podcasts page.

Step 1 — Open the Modal

Click the Add Existing Show button. It appears in multiple places: in the actions bar at the top, in the empty state, and via the "+" button.

Step 2 — Search by Handle or URL

Enter the podcast's Listener.com handle or URL in the input field. Accepted formats:

  • @handle — e.g. @thejoebuddennetwork
  • Full URL — e.g. https://listener.com/thejoebuddennetwork
  • Plain handle — e.g. thejoebuddennetwork

Click Search (or press Enter). The system strips the URL or @ prefix and looks up the profile by its handle.

Step 3 — Verify the Profile

If the profile is found, a preview card appears showing the show's artwork, name, handle, author, and description. If the show is already in your network, you'll see an error: *"This show is already in your network."*

Step 4 — Enter the Secret Code

To prove the show owner has authorized joining your network, you must enter their secret code (the show's Profile ID).

How the show owner finds their code: They go to Team → Copy Profile ID in their own Listener.com dashboard.

Paste the code and click Add to Network. If the code is incorrect, you'll see: *"Incorrect code. Please verify with the show owner."*

Step 5 — Done

Once verified, the show is added to your Profiles list and appears in your My Podcasts grid immediately.

Note: Only networks can add existing shows. Individual accounts manage only their own profile.
